Mike Patton & Metropole Orchestra

Mike Patton & Metropole Orchestra

Born in 1968 in California, Mike Patton has been in a lot of bands. He was the lead singer of Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Lovage, Fantômas, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Peeping Tom and of course Faith No More. He also produced many other musical projects and even started his own record label, Ipecac Records. Mike Patton’s new project is called Mondo Cane, a collection of covers of Italian pop songs from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. With a fancy haircut and slick suit, Patton acts like a charismatic singing show master. On the other hand, he sings with his well known screaming voice and experiments with electronica. This makes Mondo Cane a schizophrenic and surprising project. The music is arranged by Mike Patton together with Daniele Luppi, a young and talented Italian film music composer. On this special evening, organized by Holland Festival, the music is played by the Metropole Orchestra.
