The story:
Fret_1 was originally visually composed for the Autechre track “Vose in” by German video artist Equiloud. In this tutorial I will show you how I composed a new track for the video by using Ableton live and Native Instruments plugins Massive, FM8 and Battery. The video explains how to import video into Ableton live, and goes in depth into the composition.
Since I wanted to create a clear overview of what I have been doing, without creating an entire documentary, I don’t open any synthesizers or drum machines in the video. Since most of the patches and instruments used are either standard Native Instruments kits, or are available for download in the presets, I thought it would be more useful to focus on the overall composition, rather than to explain how each sound is created.
