New Comfort Fit album!

New Comfort Fit album!

For those of you who haven’t heard of Comfort Fit yet: He’s a young and upcoming beat-conductor from Hamburg, Germany. His versatile influences are ranging from early Detroit Techno and Minimal Electronica to Jazz and Hip Hop. This might sound a bit cliché, but the music is composed in such a nifty and impulsive way that it doesn’t cease to amaze the listener all the way through his albums. The unusual depth of production characterising his music output already attracted the attention of music enthusiasts all over the world.

Comfort Fit’s first album, “Forget and Remember”, which was released for free download by Tokyo Dawn in 2004, is just like an amazing free railroad ride which passes by everything good in hip-hop land. Comfort Fit’s DJ Premier style of creating drums and his dynamic harmonic progressions and solos brought forward an album which will appeal to everyone who enjoys hip-hop at it’s best, while leaving all the current beat producing trends peddling in it’s trail.

Polyshufflez:

The new album will appeal to everyone who enjoyed the Forget and Remember LP, while pushing the boundaries on how commercial you can get without becoming a corny loser. There’s more tracks with vocals on this one, of which I have to be honest, some appeal more to me than others. But this is just a matter of taste. The vocals have been mixed down with love and respect for the music and Comfort Fit has used any sound processing imaginable in a very creative and impulsive way to give everything a very fantastic and surrealistic feel.

But no worries, there’s also a whole lot of tracks which will appeal to the Forget and Remember junkies among us. Unlike most artists, Comfort Fit manages to maintain his very smooth and steady style, while coming up with a whole spectrum of new ways of letting out his creativity musically.

There’s a downside though, you’re going to have to pay for this one! No joke, the only place to get it at the moment is in digital music stores like iTunes or Napster. Having listened to the album over 20 times now, I can wholeheartedly recommend the purchase of this magnificent piece of work. If you’re patient you can wait for the CD which I heard was coming out somewhere over the next two months. If you’re like me, and want it right away, visit this page.
