Moscow based Victoria Darian is a professional musician who specialises in composing, songwriting, singing and playing keys. As a true representative of the Russian electronic scene, her work covers pretty much everything from drum and bass to trip-hop. She is an ex-soloist of the notorious Sky_residents project at the art hall of the Moscow cult club Orange, which hosted a large number of recorded live sessions featuring exceptional improvisation. Currently she’s involved as a contributor and a performer in various musical projects, collaborations and live performances at, among others, Kazantip, Sziget and Secret Operation.
Victoria began her solo career in 2013 with The Whispering, which was released on Omni Music (UK) and had remixes published on the same label by electronic producer and label founder Eschaton. Her next release came years later, but The Whispering clearly marked the beginning of Victoria’s solo work. The single A Minor Bird was released in April 2020, and an EP including two remixes was released in July of that year, also by Omni Music (UK). Her next release Maria, featuring the famous Armenian guitarist Karen Arutyunyan, was dedicated to anti-war actions in Armenia, and was also released in 2020.
