In the case of Julian Winter and Leisure-B’s latest track, the term is used in a more abstract sense and refers to the enormous impact auditory stimuli can have on the emotional part of the brain. In an instant one can be flooded with strong memories of the past while at the same time being forced to reflect on one’s actions, clearly grasping the total span of a lifetime in a single breath of air. The hammer is once again supported by Julian’s home-brew folie recordings and sports a rare feature of Leisure on the contra bass as well as a solid performance by Julian on keys and ukulele.
